To all the souls who feel they are just too weak
To all the souls who feel they are just too weak
You see others putting on their bravest face,
What crumbles you down has left them unfazed
They brush it off like a speck of dirt,
But you are still trying to know its worth.
You wonder if I am the lost cause,
Eventually, was it me who knew nothing at all?
What takes minutes to others
You are fighting with it for years
& everything around you signals
This was not meant to take this long
You secretly feel ashamed of the pain
You judge your capability, proportionate to the result
And every delay feels like a lost battle
At times you wish, may the signal change
& everything around says “You have the bravest face”
You wish someone to scream out loud
Pulling you back from the doubt.
And when nobody around you says what you need
Your doubt has got a final feed
But I wonder how we are so ashamed of our truth
It may be true that we are weak, it may be true that we made bad choices
And it may be so, that we have come far from where we wanted to be.
Maybe your scars won't always be visible, and we are still figuring it out
But you don’t need that validation
Just look within yourself; you know how tough it has been
And that’s enough, my friend
…because at the end, it's all about the story you tell yourself
